Q: Which sizes are the Empty Gelatine Capsules available in?

A: Size 4 is the smallest and Size 000 is the largest.

Q: What are the dimensions of the different size capsules?

A: We have provided a Capsule Size Chart within each product listing; detailing the length, width, volume and an approximate guide to how much powder you can fit into each size 2 capsule size.

Q: How can I fill the empty gelatine capsules?

A: Small quantities can be filled by hand by scooping the powder into the capsule shells. However we recommend using our Cap-m-quik capsule filler for filling our empty gelatin capsules size 000 to 1. Our hand operated capsule filling machines save time and make filling capsules less messy. Please see the product categories on the left hand side of the shop page for our capsule fillers and capsule filling kits (which include all you need to fill your own capsules, bundled together at a discount price).

Q: Can I fill the Empty size 2 Gelatine Capsules with oil?

A: Though it is not recommended some people fill the Empty size 2 Gelatine Capsules with oil. The locking function of the Empty Gelatine Capsules will prevent the oil from seeping out, but the oil will not stay fresh for long as the seal is not air tight.

Q: How much powder can I fit in each Size 2 empty gelatine capsule?

A: This depends on the density of the powder you wish to fill the Empty Gelatine Capsules with. Heavy powders such as minerals are more dense and the ‘fill weight’ of the capsule will be greater. Coursely chopped herbs are lighter and less dense and so the capsule ‘fill weight’ will be lighter than average.
